I saw someone ask a good question about DJ's speed...

and if that was the issue regarding his performance. I'm a science guy, so I decided to test this theory. I went to the local park and found 3 joggers, one who ran a 4.61, another a 4.89, and the final one ran a 5.23. I offered each one $50 to run as fast as they could and let me try and tackle them. Despite my best effort, I was unable to catch any of them. I recorded this data and will enter it on a spreadsheet. The results will be available for review later today.

I was out at my local park today and this stranger approached me and offered me $50 bucks if I’d allow him to attempt to tackle me. When he failed on the first attempt, I went back to my car and got a different hat, lo and behold he made the same offer. I got my last hat from the car and I could not believe it, but between gasps of air he gave me his last $50.
Now, I don’t want anyone to think I was trying to take advantage of this guy…..I mean I had snails and shadows going past me like I was nailed to the ground. As a matter of fact, on the last attempt, I actually nailed myself to the ground…..slowest human being I have ever seen.
I’m taking the family out to lunch now.

time in the sub 2.0 range, probably a 1.83 if my math is correct.
There were several plays where he was running full speed and in a straight line up field. I watched him run past 12 of the lines on the field in a timed of 2.3 seconds. And being that each of the lines are a foot a part, I did some simple math and was able to calculate his 40 yard dash time to be between 1.8 and 1.9 seconds, which from what I understand, is a pretty good time if he were to repeat this at the NFL combine next year.

Assuming the little lines are a yard apart instead of a foot and he covered 12 of those things in 1.83 seconds,
my abacus calculates that to be .1525 seconds per yard multiplied by 40 of the increments would put his pace
at a blazing 6.1 forty.
This should be taken with a grade of slaw because my abacus sometimes malfunctions.
