I realize that switching bockhurst back to guard and playing

a different center was mainly due to our other OL starter being out due to injury but that’s the best that they’ve played all season. So, I hope they go with the same lineup and see how it goes again.

I agree, but I'd be shocked to see Dabo "bench" somebody....

coming off an injury..........we may have "accidentally" found some sort of working unit on the Oline (at the very least it was an improvement), but Dabo has to recognize that and make that tough call.........we'll see what happens.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Bockhorst move to LG once Putnam is ready to go at RG and Rayburn stay at C. Bock definitely seems more natural at guard, and LG has been the weakest spot all year with the youth there missing assignments quite frequently. Just my thoughts.

yep- LG is Bockhorst natural position. Also, don't forget

that Trotter should be able to snap soon which gives you another option at center as his injury forced the center position on Bockhorst to begin with. Tate looked much better at LG also this past week so I also think he is getting a little more comfortable. The unit improved a lot last week and should continue to improve with guys healing(and no more injuries). Hopefully their improvement leads to a more comfortable DJ. Still think our bigger issue is receiver.

Dabo already said he'd go back to RG when he's healthy. But he wouldn't commit whether bock goes back to cntr or what. Don't fix what ain't broke.

What is a bit concerning is that this lineup was not identified as the most functional from the get go in practice. I mean they had to have toyed with this lineup already. Rayburn didn't seem to have any issues snapping the ball, which i thought was the reason he wasn't starting.
