I read every single NCAA rule involving on the field conduct,

Aug 15, 2021, 7:54 PM

and I could not find one mention of a player, or team receiving a penalty if they were to shave off an opposing player's mustache in the pile. I read that book cover to cover, so I know what I am talking about.

If I am Brent Venables, this would be my first order of business. The strategy should be win the toss, elect to play defense, then shave that sucker off in the pile. Heck, I do not care if we do get a 15 yarder, that is where he stores his mojo. I know, because this is where I keep mine.

Did you see the movie MASH? Someone has a syringe stashed and injects him with some kind of silly sauce

I say leave it alone. That 'stache definately has negative mojo. He's no Gadner Minshew.

That's not a real mustache. It's an eyebrow pencil.

A cotton swab soaked in 90% isopropyl alcohol in the sock(70% isn't as fast and effective). In the pile, pull the swab from the sock and rub it off with tight circular motions.

Just cut off half of it. That would really bother him.

Just have a DLineman go out with a small tube of Nair. Apply at the bottom on the pile on say a first down sack. When he goes to the sideline on 4th down and wipes his face…voila!

PS. I’m really digging the half stache approach. Do it early in the game, he obsesses over it for almost two qtrs. Then the quandary during halftime.

You must have missed the section on carrying items not related to football onto the field. I think it is in the section for equipment between helments and cleats ; so no sharp objects to gouge out there eyes, and no scissors or razors to cut off their mustache or beard.

Hey, if Rick Flair could sneak foreign objects into a ring in his gear with one maybe two opponents, getting something in with all the pads and 22 players on the field should be no problemo.
