Was it perfect ? No but eons better ... DJ's passing was mostly money, actually showing "touch" on several throws vs showing off the fastball ... Catchers catched and so on ... field goals were back to 'ol reliable ...
I am convinced that DJ's early traumas were mostly head games ... and I blame the Georgia Game for that ... I have said it before and I'll say it again, I HATE mega games being the first game of the season. Fire the schedular. Start off with "cupcakes" so people can ease into the games. Heck, Pro's have a pre-season, College's do not. If we started with a couple "easy" games this season this season would be totally different.

relaxed, more comfortable, and was more accurate AFTER his injury and the knee brace went on. It's as if a weight was lifted off his shoulders and all of a sudden he was able to just drop back in the pocket and make the throw. Just my impression.

watching the game with. Maybe a game strategy would be to let TP come in for a couple of games in the 2nd quarter to let DJ settle.

Does seem DJ plays much better after a little breather. Think they should continue that combo of occasionally bringing TP in for a play or 2

Yeah, not trying to be rude, but this is just silly. A qbs lower half is vitally important to accuracy. The same with a pitcher in baseball.
He definitely played better, but compared to a good qb, he was very average. He still missed a few easy throws due to being inaccurate. Of coarse every qb misses throws every game, but it’s easy to see DJs accuracy issues are due to terrible mechanics, a lot of which are associated with his bottom half.

Yea and once again we had to have our defense bail us out, and they certainly didn't help the cause with 223 rushing yards on 47 carries and 3 TD's.

Well, technically yes, but the defense gave up yards like sh*t thru a goose for the first 59 minutes.
Giving the defense a pass every Saturday while hammering the offense is a bit hypocritical at this point.

They are looking a little more comfortable each week. We ran the ball less effectively this week but the pass protection was better and DJ looks more comfortable standing in there and going through his reads.
All I want from here on out is little bits of progress. This team is learning toughness and how to win. A lot of young players out there.. it will pay off.

Yeah. They do look better... No problem looking for the silver lining but only one team that louisville played this year had less yards than us - BC. The bar is pretty low. For a myriad of reasons we're just not a very good football team this year.
