significantly this year - we are who we are. Can we improve? Absolutely, but the OL is just not a championship group, the receivers are fairly one dimensional and extremely inconsistent. The RBs are young but have tons of potential and are/will continue to improve, esp Mafah - huge upside. DJ is just DJ. Great kid who works hard but doesnt seem to be suited for this offense (whatever it is). The TX kid MAY be better suited, skill wise. Let's get him on campus and through the Spring and let's see if he can be a difference maker. At least that will give DJ some competition. He apparently has none currently which doesnt help either.
I say we get used to nail biters and wish for the best but accept the worst. We can still win the ACC - going to need help and honestly dont see us beating Pitt - but until we lose again, we still have a shot.
As Dabo says, the fun is in the winning. Not going to be the Natty, maybe not the ACC, but how about just the next game!

i agree with your points, unless Pittsburg flat our sucks next weekend, i don't see us beating them, they will probably put up lot of points unless out defense can stop the passing attack all day, but will it be enough for out stale offense, i doubt it,, I hope im wrong and we can find a way to win one that is a surprise, but one thing for sure, PITT should be the favorite and not Clemson, also if anyone is a betting man, take all point spread in our games because we cant cover them, win is a win, ill take a win anyway or loss. im hoping we can find a way to win out, cause if not those acc championship tixs are a waste i bought for the 7th year in a row.

I agree. Expect close games and hope we can pull out the next game.
Nothing will change on the offense without major changes that won’t happen this season.

as far as Cade coming in and taking DJ's job i doubt that will happen, i think clemson is gonna ride it out with him, at least one more year cause im sure we are gonna hear how much he has improved and doing what he needs to do and its everyone else's fault. i remember the year trevor came in and kelly was the quarteback and our team just flat out wasn't performing to its fullest, and i kept saying the quarterback issue was bringing that team down, everyone including Dabo was being loyal to KB , once KB left that team found its rhythm, and went on to win the natty, i felt along that there were issues in locker room that we didn't know, this team has the same feel, maybe wrong but something is off , cause there is talent there

Right. No shortage of talent. Injuries have hurt but they aren’t the reason the Tigers are playing poorly in some areas. Beating the Clemson Tigers is a very, very, BIG deal to every team that we play because the Tigers have been such a dominating team for years. They will get everyone’s best shot and this Cuse game should make that apparent. The coaches see the same things that we do and we have excellent coaches at Clemson. No one has better. Coach Elliott didn’t suddenly become a bad play caller. He is the SAME guy we have had for years.
All teams love to win. All teams get a special joy of beating Clemson. That’s what we are and I’m glad we have reached that level. Go Tigers
