I love Clemson basketball.

What I don’t love are overly sensitive Clemson basketball fans. Who cares if someone doesn’t think our team will even make it to the NIT this year? Who cares if someone doesn’t think Brad is the best coach? Everything doesn’t have to be some personal insult that causes anger and hatred toward whomever said it.
I know that we should not be very proud of what we have, as our basketball program is not a model worth emulating. Along with that should be the realization that the head coach who has been here for the last 12 years isn’t perfect nor should everyone else think that he is.
I’m fine with our fans liking basketball more than football. However, the excessive homerism when it comes to Clemson basketball borders on obsession for some. Calling people turd fans for pointing the fact that our coach has mostly underperformed the last 12 years and using his high school photo for an avatar is just plain unhealthy.

Not sure how you determined that our team has underperformed in the last 12 years? During that time we had a sweet 16 appearance which has only happened a couple of times in the history of our program, had a win at UNC which has never happened before, had a winning percentage better than our historical average and had a winning percentage within a few percentage points of any coach in our history. All of this while some fans constantly drag our coach on social media and we have a done a great job of graduating our players.
The thing is most of us want a better program but disagree on how to get here. There are a few who just like to drag our coach but we will overlook them for now.

Let me re-phrase that for you:
1 - made the sweet sixteen only one time in 12 years
2 - had to go to overtime to win a road game against a team that finished 6-14 in the conference
3 - continued our historically mediocre win/loss ratio

Great take. Support all our teams 100% or you are simply not a true Tiger fan. When you have been a fan and listened, watched and gone to Clemon baseball, basketball and football games for over 60 years, you have endured more losses than wins. The result matters but is not the end all be all and learning to support, not condemn, is something all Tigers should learn.

Thank you. I never once have called someone a negative term just because my opinion is different than they have indicated.
When Brad ever does step down, hopefully by his choosing,that is the hope that there will be a more mutual agreement to support Clemson Basketball...

tend to think that our basketball program isn't doing all that bad and that BB is an okay coach.
But older people like myself (67 years old) having been dealing with mediocre Clemson basketball for decades (in my case, since the 1960s).
Except for a few good seasons here and there, we've never built a lasting success with our basketball program.
It comes down to what we really want, expect, and are satisfied with. I long ago gave up hopes of us being any kind of ACC/national power in basketball because nothing's changed that would lead me to think we will be.
