of the Board are playing tonight and I'm getting ready to listen to some beach music. Even if the weather is going to be in the 40's.

You all enjoy your weekend and stay safe!

Go Tigers!!!

I thought Norman Johnson passed away years ago.

I managed Bollwinkles at Clemson in the early 80's while at Clemson. We had the Chairman of the Board at Bollwinkles at least twice a year back then.

Norman did pass. I think they were known as "General Johnson

When Norman sang "Patches" it would bring a tear to your eye.

be different but it's something to do in the little town of Chesterfield (they're playing in Cheraw).

I was there that night

Amazing how I can still picture it. Vividly remember GJ letting Clarence sing a song and saying, Clarence you done good! Fun night

I love Bollwinkles

I think it was $1 to get in and then the draft beer went up a nickel every hour. I would leave there hammered and it was still daylight out side. Fun time indeed.

Thank you so much Civil Engineer

I majored in Boll Winkles for a few years. Many great memories. Graduated in 1984 with a major in business and minor in libations & social events.

I think I must know all of you folks. Bollwinkles, The Corporation, The Roundtable and Tiger Town Tavern (downstairs and upstairs). Bring back any memories?

So what is the best R&B group you saw at Myrtle Beach?***

I haven't heard many groups at the beach. Did hear Blue

Oyster Cult. Mostly just local bands.

Going back, the original Drifters in the 70's. They were old

but man they could still sing. They actually let me on stage with them, I was stepping NOT singing.

A real blast! I was a DJ in both the bar I managed, and I also did fraternity and sorority mixers. Those were the good old days when I played song's off of 45's and albums.

I still DJ an occasional party for shaggers. I'm getting old, so those day are few and far between. Spotify is the greatest. Makes it easy to find almost any song.

Saw Band of Oz, Too Much Sylvia, and Jim Quick and Coastline last year at the OD Beach Music Festival. It was an awesome time.

I call them the "Band of Was", when Big John left, the Band of Oz changed forever. But nobody could sing Over the Rainbow like John Thompson!

They've changed a lot, but they're still good. There was no female singer when we saw them last year.

I love their version of Over The Rainbow.
