I listen to Paul Strelow on Mickey’s show this morning

And he indicated that we should get a commitment from the TE we offered last week from Tallahassee, Fl soon. That will take us to 18 commitments and with us taking 2 WR’s, how many players are we taking over 20? Besides WR’s I can only think of a few players we’re still actively recruiting Burch, Smalls, and Flowe are the only ones that come to mind. Anyone have more info on our last few recruits?

The remaining board seems to be:
Williams, Henderson, Ajou, Ennis, Arik Gilbert, Ngata on offense with Gilbert being the only "oversign" worthy player
Flowe, Burch, Noah Sewell, Phillip Webb on defense with Flowe and Burch being "oversign" guys. I think we may take another DB late in the cycle if the opportunity presents itself though.
IMO: Ennis + Ajou + Williams commit this summer and we head into the season at 20 commits. I could see us taking 3 more after that. My preference would be Flowe, Burch, Henderson in that order but the separation is small. Scholarships always seem to open up over time with the transfer portal so I think we bring in more guys than originally expected.

My guess would be
2WR's(Henderson/Lambert/Williams/Ajou)
2 of Burch/Webb/Flowe/Smalls
The aforementioned TE
and D Ngata as the 3rd wr/sr/apb
With oversign guys being Gilbert and Paris Johnson if OSU tanks.
Still wonder though, will Ajou catch fire and his rankings jump TOO high to be talked into a GS ?

The offer wasnt indicative of where things stand with Henderson and Williams, either. I've heard all along that it was 2 WR's this class with 3 being a possibility. Personally, I can definitely see us taking 3 this class. I could see us losing more WR that anticipated after season end such as TJ Chase + Powell moving on after being RS Juniors this year, Higgins going in the draft, DK moving to CB permanently, etc.
Lambert is definitely 4th in the WR pecking order if you asked me. I think the coaches like Ajou more.

If I had to guess, Cornell Powell, TJ Chase, and Xavier Kelly are the most likely to enter the transfer portal. All 3 will only have one year of eligibility after this season. If they get passed on the depth chart by Ladson, Ngata, and Tyler Davis then it would be reasonable for them to transfer. Then there’s also Chase Brice. He’s good enough to start at most places. It wouldn’t be a shock to see him enter the portal as well. Anybody else?
