He wasn't it and it was obvious.
Whether it was coaches failing him by not adapting the playbook to his style or benching him early to consider making a program or position move for his own career.
I'm thrilled for Cade, but who knows what DJ could have been at a different program, with different coaches, or at a different position.

Agreed. The coaches didn't fail DJ, they failed the rest of the team by forcing him when it was obvious he couldn't perform.

DJ improved GREATLY from last year to this year. He has several years to keep improving. It's not like his career is over.

You guys have got to be delusional. DJ is an awesome person. QB1 at Clemson or any other D5 school is wrong. Dabo is an awesome man but his loyalty to DJ probably cost Clemson several million dollars.

I've defended DJ all year but after last week even I could see the writing in the wall. Cade should have at least gotten a chance last week when DJ was playing so bad. His receivers didnt help but that was an abysmal performance. I always thought Cade would eventually be the man, it just took one week too long it seems. And before the Cade fans chime in, could Cade have done the same all year? Maybe, but before last week we were still in the Playoff chase and would have been in right now if that absolute debacle didn't happen. Lets go Tigers, go get'em Cade!
