And both teams lauded for the effort. But quite frankly this is terrible terrible baseball.

Amen! 1-17 with RISP. Thing is we haven't been able to score at all the last 10 plus days. It's been horrific to watch. Idk what's going on

Actually, this game continued to confirm the old adage "Pitching beats hitting". If ever it were true, it was true last night...and today.
Dang, I actually started watching at inning 11 and watched until the end. I was indeed amazed at our lack of 'small ball'. It's like we have a phobia of it, or just plain pig-headed and refuse to do it, except when you should not do it (man in scoring position w/1 out?). I obviously have no clue as to how to get guys to score runs.

I saw some of the extra innings and it had that feel. you would not know from that they were good teams

Thank you for this. I can’t stand when people see a close long game and just assume it was a “great playedl game. That was 20 endings of terrible offensive execution. The pitching wasn’t even that good the offense was just that bad. this is like when South Carolina beat us earlier this year and somebody on the board said that was a battle between two really good teams . Uh no. Scar is pure garbage and won’t make the tourney and we won’t host.

Errors are not the only thing that determine a good baseball game. If you have a lot of errors it can’t be called a clean game. If you don’t have many errors it still can be a bad game and it was. Everybody will say the pitching was good but do you really think that 8-10 different pitchers were all on fire last night? No the hitting and offensive execution was little league

well get used to it. that is where we are in college baseball these days. doubles, home runs and strikeouts. it sure as he!! aint just us. the number 6 team in the country struck out 24 times and can't bunt either. by the way, it was indeed a great game. not pretty but a great game.

There is nothing great about five runs in 20 innings and all those strikeouts. The word is “close”
It was a close game. There were no unbelievable plays on defense none of that. Just awful hitting all night from both teams.
