The main problem I have with what’s going on

Is how defensive the coaches get when asked about DJ. Why is it ok to talk about how bad everyone else is playing but not DJ? Everyone with common sense knows when someone starts getting real defensive about a question, something is up. What is it is the question.

The story I keep hearing that makes the most sense is that when DJ's parents broke up he wanted to leave the team and move back home. Dabo and his Mom had to really work on him to get him to continue on at least through this season. I think they coddle him to keep his head in the game and focus away from leaving. Dabo said earlier in the season that DJ was going to graduate in December and he and DJ have a plan.

My guess is that he will leave football altogether and begin to pursue other life goals after graduation. I could be wrong but I think you also kind of notice how all of this negativity does not outwardly appear to be getting to him very much. That tells me he's just trying to finish this out and move on with his life.
