Lol. What exactly are you basing that on? His freshman year? Because he hasn’t been very good since then. His one carry against Georgia? He’s not good in pass pro. He gets arm tackled almost everytime. Is he the fastest? Probably. But that doesn’t mean he’s our best back.

It helps alot that he's an older guy and knows what he's doing ....Shipley is the most explosive and pace is a load but Dixon is the most effective on the field. Him not playing against uga but a few snaps and only getting 1 carry......he must be doing something pretty bad to get this treatment.

Again, what have you seen from him that makes him “clearly” the best back other than a good freshman year as a third stringer playing in garbage time. It’s not pass pro. It’s not breaking tackles. It’s not even explosive plays. I’d be interested to hear how he’s so much better than Pace and Shipley.

Why exactly is CJ coaching our RB’s? Has he really ever coached other than being a volunteer at Clemson. I understand that he was the best RB to ever play at Clemson but that doesn’t make him a great coach. I will use Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson as examples of great players that couldn’t coach for ####.
One would think that we would want a very experienced coach at such a high profile position at a high profile University.
Just thoughts. Nothing against CJ, honestly. I just don’t want to watch him grow into being a coach. Sometimes I get the feeling that Dabo is giving everyone a chance because someone gave him a chance. Sooner or later you have to have experienced guys coaching a high profile team. The defensive side of our team seems to have that type of coach at every position while the offense seems to be a little different and that is what is starting to show signs of cracks in the Sheetrock.

I really don’t think our backs are the problem.

Lol. Read the article on the front page and yes, it is probably Spillers fault that Dixon did something wrong. God, some of you are lunatics. I'll trust Dabo, Elliott and Spiller over the unappreciative morons on here who know nothing about the situation.

I had the same thought when CJ was hired. Dabo does hire guys who he expects to “grow into their jobs”, instead of hiring experienced and proven coaches. It’s a bit odd, but that seems to be what he’s comfortable with.

he hired Dabo. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.
Part of me thinks that Dabo feels he owes something to Spiller when Spiller chose Clemson/Dabo over all the other schools in the nation as a recruit. That was probably the biggest recruiting victory in Clemson history at the time (and Dabo gets credit for it).
Besides, the RBs have played pretty well all things considered. They are very young. Talented, but young. Playing behind a young OL and with a young QB.
