What you expect when you play a team that is notorious for not even trying to compete. They just there for a check and don't hide that fact.

Buddy Pough's interview with SC State playing Clemson, it kind of sounded like he was asking Dabo to take it easy on his team. I'm not excited about a game that the HC has thrown in the towel almost a week before the game is played!!!

Yep, I honestly would rather play a non conference team capable of beating us(see UGA), than having a glorified scrimmage.
However, in this case the offense could use the reps no doubt.

Home schedule doesn’t warrant the money charged. Aside from game day promotions - Homecoming and Military Appreciation - FSU only great ticket. ACC football byproduct.
