That it wouldnt be long before we started hearing "the QBs are even". And sure enough it started today. We will hear this for the next 3 weeks until Kelly is named the starter. That way he doesn't lose either qbs confidence in the process.

Well Dabo has said that about every position. Which makes sense because if the QB's are even then you are going to go with the guy that has actually proven it on the field. Being even in practice and being even in actual game play is 2 entirely different things. That's why he said that if they are even when the games start it will go into the season because that is truly when you see if they are even. Throwing the ball off your back foot or throwing it into a window you normally wouldn't during a game or just tossing it up is different when it counts. It's easy to have that killer mentality in practice but can you play that loose in a game. That's why you have no choice but to take it into the season.

Kelly has not proven it on the field. He threw 13 touchdowns all of last year. He also wet the bed vs Alabama.
I am so sick of everyone saying he needs to start because he has proven it on the field. Our offense was vanilla, stagnant ad at times hard to watch. It doesn’t matter if you make the playoffs if you don’t win it all. Trevor Lawrence has the ability to do that.

In my opinion we are being set up for another failure at qb. KB is a great person, but not so great of a qb. he had some moments last year; however overall he was minimal at best. Last year we had a 5 star in Hunter Johnson who was not as I see it given a real chance at the job. A lot of lip service about the best man will play was given, but there was no doubt that KB was the guy from the beginning. The same scenario is developing this year. So where do we go from here? I can not answer this nor can you.

HJ was the better passer but he was not ready to start last year. TL is a different story.

KB and Chase Brice threw 2 TD passes each today

No indications from the interviews that Trevor Lawrence threw any TD passes in the scrimmage. KB took the opening drive 70 yards to score on the first team defense. That certainly sounds to me like KB is playing well (much better than he did in the Spring Game where he didn't engineer any scoring drives).
But hey, don't let the facts (as we know them) to get in the way of your narrative.

To me saying they are even , means TL is better .
At this point KB has about hit his ceiling and TL is just starting.
