tbalm because he is a stupid lib, but it makes it sound a little like racial killings in Buffalo are somehow NOT as bad if we don't have outrage over this one as well. Almost like there is faux-outrage over the Buffalo killings.
I would imagine this one didn't get as much coverage (so far nationally) because it was on the cusp of a similar killing in Buffalo.
Do better.

a) wrong board and b) I'm heading out the door to make some $$$, but I think that Bengal is pointing out that when it comes to widespread national media coverage, it's noticeable that shootings by white supremacists are analogous to little blonde white girl abduction stories in how skewed the airtime is.
When just one flavor of racism gets such heavy rotation, it sure feels like a narrative by omission. but mostly that they're just easier to cover. Racist screed + AR-15 is pretty straightforward to report in the eyes of the media (it's not, but that's just how superficial they stay), whereas as Chinese immigrant born in Taiwan attacking a Taiwanese congregation for X motive is too complicated for reporters, and the audience.

Sad media has to pick among these choices, and in the case of the 10+3 dude a) livestreamed it b) left behind a manifesto and c) dressed as a homeless dude to scope the place out the day before.
I think 1 of these 3 probably warrants more press.
