Well, it would mean four more ‘meaningful post season’ games. Not necessarily more competitive.

Well OSU lost 2 one being to Michigan and Oklahoma did not win the Big 12. So not thinking either of those make it any better imo.

I mean you could also say Bama already beat UGA. We lost to Pitt one year and won it all. Just more worthy teams with a shot would be interesting games rather than such restrictions.
OSU and OU and maybe two others would be great interesting games. And the final outcome way less predictable than this.

Yes. I agree with you on that. Just because one team beats another on that day, doesn't mean they would do it again on another. I think the Dawgs will beat Bama next game..Just like I think Clemson would beat Pitt or NC st. If played again

Yep, but is only about money anyway, or else we would have computers picking the championship matchup like before. In most years there are not actually four teams good enough to win it all, much less eight. The current setup is about $$$, and so expanding to eight would simply be about more money.
