Jose Alverez. He bought a John Deere Tractor from us. He was really cool and down to earth.

I remember Jose Alvarez. I don't recall a lot about him.

Probably a store that sells John Deere tractors. So that would probably rule out any fast food restaurant.

Jose is a great guy. Lives on a farm over in Mauldin.
He works with FCA Tour Life providing Chaplain services to the web.com tour. Hes ALWAYS great to be around.
The week before our in state rivalry game he puts on a charity golf tournament pitting Clemson vs Coots to raise money for the Tour Life work. He is always posting stuff on Facebook.
A really neat Jose story. A friend of mine lives over near Jose and so did his dad who was dying with cancer. Jose stopped in and asked if he could bring in a friend. Sure. So Jose brought in his buddy to meet son and dad, and to pray with dad. Jose brought John Smoltz with him. Great gesture.
If you are at the John Deere store on Mauldin Rd Jose used to pitch just down the road from you!

I lived in Taylors in 1969...the Belmont theatre, two gas stations. one
supermarket and Ikes handymart.Taylors is now a yankee hideout.

Jose is a really good guy. I played a lot of church league basketball with him back in the 90's. He's originally from Tampa but pitched professionally for a long time in the minors before finally making the Braves as a long reliever. He's a strong Christian and has a wonderful family. A scratch golfer as well, good friends with John Smoltz.
