question for any legal "scholars" out there.......

what's the process/punishment for refusing to be on a jury if selected?

Just wondering what those on the Chauvin jury is going through. I haven't followed much of it at all, but reading the tea leaves there is virtually no realistic verdict that will "appease" those ready to protest or already protesting.......knowing the backlash to family/friends if I were on the jury, that would 100% affect my "vote" regardless of any evidence one way or the other.

to be derelict in jury duty, if you don't have a valid statutory excuse.

are reports of their demographics, and maybe friends/family/coworkers might know, but does the general public know their names? Or are we assuming they will come out in the near future?
