I heard that if Maryland bolts, that the ACC will go after Louisville and/or UCF? This isn't true is it?

If so, good riddance Maryland and their trashy fans. UConn is a great fit for the ACC due to academics (UConn is the #1 public school in the Northeast).

way better in football, better in basketball with 100% less probation, more southern, and for the most part, a really classy fan base

Me thinks there is more to this story

The big ten has been rumored to have no interest in expanding unless they can get ND and would hold a spot until they joined a conference. Well they haven't joined a conference in football....yet. Maybe that is about to change. I'm thinking the ACC is up to something once again and is going after a school ND wants in the ACC and this is the big 10s desperate attempt to keep it from happening. Lets face the facts; the big 10 is dying with the population shift to the south. This does nothing to stop that trend.

No. I don't see the ACC taking Louisville or UCF for academic reasons. The ACC turned down WVU because of that even though they wanted in.
If we can pry them out of the B1G, Penn State would be the #1 choice. Rutgers is another choice, but it looks like they'll go to the B1G with Maryland if Maryland really does jump. That really only leaves UConn as a realistic choice if Notre Dame can't be convinced to be a full member.

No doubt; UNC & Duke will push hard for UConn. I would think FSU & Clemson will want W. Virginia. I would definitely prefer WVU.
