Will Death Valley ever have 70,000 fans again?

Between Covid causing people to learn how to enjoy games from their bigscreen and the majority of tigernet boycotting football due to NIL, I wonder if Death Valley will have more than 70K?

Death Valley will be packed to watch DJ play. The only thing that could hurt our attendance is the terrible quality of our home opponents, which is mostly not our fault.

If you think people will bail on Clemson because of NIL, there are plenty of others willing & desperately waiting to take their place.
Death Valley will be packed this season for at least a couple of games. Eventually we're going to likely have to expand the stadium seating.
I actually think NIL will increase fan support overall & over time, but it's going to take A LOT more than something like NIL To make enough Clemson fans quit going to games enough to notice even a little bit.

I don't think people will notice any fans who no longer care about Clemson I guess is all.
I mean, nobody wants people to stop caring about something they care more about than anything else.
But Clemson continues to grow & people will always be ready to take an empty seat in Death Valley.

The population of the Upstate and the state as a whole has grew tremendously since 1980. The alumni base has grown during that same time period. However , Memorial Stadium has not increased capacity since adding the North Upper deck in the early 80’s.
To me , that’s says attendance isnt keeping up with the rate of growth.
I say build a Miami Dolphins Stadium type overhang over Death Valley and watch the upper deck become more desirable

When we play the Lamecocks at home again and go up 30-0 in the first quarter, I could see the crowd at less than 70k.

The capacity ,was in my opinion , set at its appropriate level back in the 1980’s in relation to the size of the average butt back then. In my observations, butts have become larger in the last 40 years, and essentially a female who once had a 1980 size butt very likely that same female has a butt twice the size in 2021. I’ll admit , I have not studied the male butt as fervently as the female butt so my data and research is still ongoing. If someone is interested in helping research the size of the male butt today compared to 1980, send me your resume

I didn't attend any games last season because of Covid, but the season before, a good crowd would be at the start of the game, then people start leaving after the first quarter, after halftime you are half full and by the start of the fourth there's only about 15,000 fans left.

I DO expect at least one sellout game at home this year, I just don't know which teams it could be for.
Boston College is my best guess.
