I hope the NCST game serves...

Nov 18, 2012, 5:04 PM

as a wake up call to the defense and special teams. I know Glennon is better QB than Shaw, but there was a lot of busted and loose coverage last night. The TE over the middle needs to be defended better.

Unlike NC State, CockU has a running game

I'm not sure which worries me more. Getting a consistent 6-8 yards per rush, or a team that can pick us apart for the big play like NC State.

That said, not sure it'll matter, the way Tajh and Co. are playing right now. I think we win a shootout with them. Shaw will screw up eventually and all we need is a few stops/screwups.

Their OL is not very good. Their running game is primarily

Conner Shaw scrambling for 7-8 yards. They are in the bottom half of the NCAA in almost every offensive category, including rushing offense.

SCAR offensive numbers nationally....

Nov 18, 2012, 5:48 PM

83rd out 120 teams in rushing offense, 74th in pass offense, and 93rd in total offense, again out of 120 teams.

That's just because SEC (and Wofford) defenses are

like NFL teams.

Come on. You know that.

I think they will get their sh!t together for next week. Not worried about our D. I'm more worried about our special teams and our OL giving boyd time to find sammy, nuk & co.

maybe my priorities are in the wrong place, but I've seen our O shut down over the last 3 years (I realize we have been playing at a higher level this year). But we should be able to win by out scoring them if nothing else.

Spot on with ST play

Nov 18, 2012, 5:12 PM

I'm more worried about that than the defense. ST play has just SUCKED the last few games. Punting has been mediocre, kickoffs have been iffy since about halfway through the season.

Put that ball in the endzone and just give them the 25. Shaw will beat himself if we make him go the full length of the field enough times.
