I heard we are showing a lot of interest in couple of transfers...

Mar 20, 2021, 6:34 AM

One is this guard here. We need scorers...

Pitt.MBB (@PittHoopsMBB) Tweeted:
FIU transfer Antonio Daye is down to 4 schools. The 6’3” guard averaged 17.1 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 4.7 APG in the 2020-21 season. Daye will choose from Arkansas, Clemson, Pitt, and Providence. He plans on making a decision before the end of the month. https://twitter.com/PittHoopsMBB/status/1371571337756471297?s=20

We definitely could use that guy. Hope we land a couple good ones. Who is the other one?

I'm still trying to research on Twitter. This guy is the real deal. All the basketball experts are saying who ever gets him gets a huge baller who can score and create. Check his highlights from this past season:

Why would a scorer come to clemson

Mar 20, 2021, 8:54 AM

I wouldn't blame him at all in picking Arkansas. They have an offensive identity, Brownell doesn't. The clemson offense consists of passing the ball around 8 to 10 times at the top of the key and settling for shots deep into the shot clock. 56 points last night. 64.9 pts per game which ranks in the 300s compared to 82.5 which is top 15. So again I ask, why would a scorer choose to play for Clemson?

Maybe so that he would get the ball more...?***

We need big men - rim protectors- not guards

Mar 20, 2021, 10:42 AM

It has been obvious for years that we don’t have an inside game. Playing Sims as a 5 when he is really a 3. He plays hard, but is too small when bigger players guard him.
For whatever reason CBB does not build inside. Decent big men will not come to Clemson (it seems) because the inside game is not developed and important. He recruits one and then 1-2 years later after not playing or developing, he transfers out.
I also don’t like our dependence on transfers. Why can’t we develop? If we picked one up that helped the bench, ok. But we seem to rely on them to be starters.

Last night was example where we had no answer to Rutgers big men.

Yeah, this is what I'd like to hear more of. An x and o's discussion on what needs to happen.

One thing that makes March madness so fun is the upsets etc. We just seem to no matter what be on the losing side too often. Be it the ACC tournament, NCAA, or nit.
