Jimmy Johnson say on t.v. yesterday that he was the coach at Clemson for two weeks a few years ago. When did this take place?. I can't remember it and I have followed Clemson football very closely for 55 years!

Did you hear him say that? I know I wasn't dreaming. I remember Arkansas hiring Hatfield instead of him one year but the Tigers weren't involved.

His autobiography

He mentions it in his autobiography. I can't remember the year he said it was. I picked it up in the bookstore years ago, looked up Clemson in the glossary and went to that page. He said some story about being an assistant for a short time and taking a shower w/ the coaches and the guy beside him was pissing in the shower and it was hitting his leg. He looked up and it was Frank Howard and he said , "welcome to Clemson."

at Clemson back in the early 70's for a couple of days, but a better job offer came along and he took it. Anybody else remember?
