Do we have somebody that can kick it further? That's going to come back and bite us next year.

Those were on purpose

Staff was determined not to have them score a cheap big yardage run back on kick off even if it meant 5 - 10 yds field position. Actually worked out quite well.

Pretty obvious those were intentional. We were willing to sacrifice 10 yards of field position to prevent them from getting a big special teams play. It was ugly, but it worked.

press he got after yelling at Teasdall at the ACCCG last year. Now he won't even look at a kicker or punter the wrong way.

PS: Did you see the hang time on our punts? 0.8 seconds is my guess.

You mean like the way he reacted to Teasdall on his fake punt in the ACC championship game last year. Dabo never let's them know when they mess up does he?

The way his kickoffs looked they must've spent the off season working on the on-side kick only...it was a beauty though. Bama was so stunned they just froze...deer, I mean elephant in headlights

The scary thing about the onside kick was if they get it they would have had one shot to throw it into the end zone.

We gotta improve in the kicking game all around. Why don't we have big plays on returns? Seems like we fair catch everything. Why can't we kick it deep and cover? Hard to get good field position when we're letting them start at the 35 every time.
Oh well, still won. Hopefully we'll improve these things next year.

I think we need to find someone that can kick it out of the end zone and a punter that can change field position. I do think the strategies we used during the game worked out well for us. We eliminated their return game and it worked to our advantage as they were unable to make a play to change the game with their return team.

The ONLY reason we're not back to back champs is because of special teams. The staff wanted their offense to out score ours, which they couldn't do in back to back years. Good job coaches. By the way, there are very few college players that can consistently boot it through the end zone. Kicking it to the back of the end zone still allows the possibility of a return
