I did my best to display my southern gentlemanly demeanor, however after one coot ranted about how much hate he had for Clemson it really lit me up. He said he wished a terrorist would've blown up our busses on the way to the hill for FSU game. Went on to talk about how bad we are, don't play anybody, have a joke of a coach, and the sky will fall when Morris leaves. I politely stood him down though I had a mind to rearrange his teeth, I looked around the concrete jungle and was glad to be a tiger.

I quit years ago trying to be nice or even being around them when their game was on.
Perfect example, my wife had some of her coot friends over to watch the game last night. Hadn't been here 15 minutes before one of them starts talking ### about Clemson. Now they all know I'm a Clemson grad and huge fan and they talk ### about my team in my home. I used to be gracious towards them regarding our rivalry because of our friendship.
After that comment, I just walked away and watched something else on another tv. My wife begged me to join the crown. No way. I guess they have been butt hurt for so long from us beating them they don't know any other way to act.... I have never met a gracious Coot, never...

Unfortunately I had to relocate to the low country for a job. Since I have been here, I have Consistently been harassed by random USC fans for the past 5 years. My only crime, wearing a Clemson shirt. I have had crap talked to me at a yard sale, Target, Furniture store, Drive-through at a Zaxby's, Walmart, and a 1/2 dozen other places. this does not count the crap I catch at work and at church. And I don't even talk football with these people. It's like they seek you out. I guess Their goal is to make you feel bad so that they can feel good. It's sad, but still Irritating.
Hopefully we will win this year so that they will shut up for a year.

I coined a phrase back in the 90's, I called them "predatory fans" because it wasn't enough for them to pull for their team or go to their games. They have to seek you out, hunt you down to brag about their team. A major case of a lack of self-respect.
