Coach Swinney postgame interview

Nov 27, 2016, 10:48 PM

I just had an opportunity to watch the post-game interview with Dabo. Compared to most interviews with him following a win, he seemed really out of sorts. Also saw the brief rant he launched at a reporter who asked about the O-line, which seemed like an over-reaction to me. Combine these with the failure to broadcast the Clemson Football recap show this morning and it sure seems odd. I hope everything is ok, but he sure didn't look like a happy man. Is this my imagination?

he's been "different" this year, but I read it as more of a "I'm not getting to excitable this year because I expect this of my program" type deal.

I do have to admit I thought he was a little to irritable last night the whole game, even when we were using scout teams and the game was not in doubt

Looks fine to me

I was referring to the on-field interview. I'm not sure at which interview the blowup at the reporter occurred, but it was a clip I saw on TCI.

keep distractions out. See Saban. Say what you want about the man, but he keeps the media (who is trying to make living writing stories) from causing undo havoc in his locker room by creating controversy and drama where there isn't any. Dabo is tired of ESPN types making his job harder and I think he's just matured into the roll and learned he doesn't have to just sit behind a podium and take it. He's making the media think twice before they ask a stupid question or try to write up a story that isn't really there or at least in the best interest of the team.

I was wondering about the same thing...

definitely not the Dabo we're used to seeing. He really seemed to get upset at small things yesterday. But, as someone said, maybe he's trying to keep his staff and team sharp.

I have thought the same thing this year

hoping he is not struggling with a difficult decision (like leaving us for bama).
