When D1 football becomes car-toon-ish?

Seriously, when we reach the point of oversaturation. I know its relatively cheap to cover Mid-American Conference games on a Tuesday night, but at some point knowing when the customer has had enough is part of the art of entertainment.

has the nfl become cartoonish?

ESPN's games were garbage

but I'd say that the NFL is getting close to overexposure. You'd get 3 games on a Sunday and 1 on Monday. Now you can get 4 on sunday, 1 on Monday and 1 on Thursday.

A lawyer friend of mine once said "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered."

money being talked about we are quickly approaching that point with college football.

i believe they used to have a gentleman's agreement against playing friday nights. something to do with a noncompete against hs football.

oh well, the world in which we live.

I have the same thought. When College Football

becomes "too big", and the spectacle is too much, I think people will start to move on. When it's all about the national championship, it might as well be the NFL. When you rely on ESPN to create a rivalry from across the country, it might as well be the NFL. When the amount of money coming in for football is SOOO great that programs have to start paying the S&C coach $1.2M per year, each players' locker has to have all gaming systems and gold plating, or worse, you start paying players...it might as well be the NFL. And of course, the NFL is great, but if college football becomes the NFL...just watch the NFL instead.
