I have not seen a single Duke power utility truck

It looks like a bomb went off in Florence.
The day after Hugo it looked like we were invaded by an army, all the power crews storming in to Florence.
To me in the City limits it looks worse than Hugo.
I just drove around the whole town and did not see one crew working or not even a Duke truck.

Amazingly all the water is gone today.
But I have never seen as many big oak trees on houses and in the road.

It's bad trees and power lines down on just about every road .
The flooding was bad yesterday but nothing major today.
It's going to take weeks to get back to normal

If you think Florence is bad you should see Beaufort, we got the worst of it. No power trucks around here.

I know that Sumter Utility Company, another contractor like Pike, was staging in/near Florence on Friday. I work with Charter and we now own Time Warner & our repair crews are being delayed because of access. You'll hopefully start seeing tree service teams in there today.

I don't think they know where to start .
I would think the easy fixes are being done .
Around my neighborhood there is no lines down but on the main Highway at least 10 are broke off

Almost all of Florence is without power. Had to go to Camden to find a gas station with power this morning and saw some power trucks heading east. Trees and power lines down everywhere. 5 points has power and lines at fast food places are 30 cars deep. Don't know why people don't plan better. Not like there was no warning. Going to take some time to recover. Be safe Tiger fans.

It's a mess for sure but we are blessed.
No damage to my new house I'm moving into Friday.
I have a roof over my head and a cooler full of food.
It could be a lot worse.

...crews were sent down to FL ahead of the storm. Hope they make it back soon and get some help to the fine people who live on or near the coast of SC. One difference, after Hugo there was one primary area to focus attention and neighboring states were able to help out. This storm was unprecedented in that it affected people along the coast from Fort Pierce, FL to the Outer Banks of NC.

I just saw where ALL power customers in Colleton and Hampton counties are without power and those are the super poor areas north of Beaufort. Those folks can't afford to go stay in hotels.

It's going to be weeks to get SC back to or near normal.
I just called about 15 motels in Florence and they pretty much laughed at me about getting a room for tonight.

In Florence as well. We definitely took a punch. Very difficult to move around the city still with so many trees down. Unreal how many lines areas down.
