New Story: Recruiting has Tigers set up for an extended run of success

Recruiting has Tigers set up for an extended run of success

The national narrative in many places is that when Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson takes his last snap in a Clemson uniform and takes his many talents to the NFL, the success that the Clemson program has had in recent seasons will go along with him. The national narrative couldn’t be more wrong. Full Story »

to see Deshaun Watson gone" or "Things will get back to normal for y'all next year without Deshaun" (dumbfounding on it's own considering history).

They have no clue what is happening in Clemson, no comprehension whatsoever of the disparity between the two programs, or of the dynasty that is being built that is going to inflict years of pain and misery upon them.

Let em keep those blinders on. Those idiots are delusional and just plain have chicken brains. Years of pain and misery for them is just what they need. Screw the Dirtpeckers. We just need to keep landing these 5* recruits while Muschamp and company keep getting the 1 and 2* 's. Screw em.

Well now I see why the coaches told Daekron Joyner he needs to be open to another position beside QB. I would still love to get him to Clemson he could play safety or QB. He is a very good football player he reminds me of Joe Hamilton. I went to high school with Joe he was a freshman when I was a senior. Clemson didn't want him at QB. He never lost to the Tigers while at GT. I do think we are set at QB and will be just fine without him. Just saying I like him a lot. Go Tigers

Love that quote.

Why did this line need to be included?

Dec 18, 2016, 6:23 AM

"Sure, Watson has been a major factor in Clemson’s success the past two season, but if one player made an entire team, then Louisville would be spending the holidays in the playoff and not in a mediocre bowl in Florida."

Why discredit the hard work the players at Louisville (not named Lamar Jackson) put in throughout the season to prove a point that Clemson is excelling in recruiting?

Thankfully it isn't so, but one yard against Louisville and NCSU making a chip shot is as far away as Clemson is from that same mediocre bowl in Florida. We, as Clemson faithful, are incredibly fortunate to be able to enjoy the success the players that this staff and administration have helped get Clemson to where it is today.

The future is undeniably bright for our program, but I doubt the author is qualified to knock players from another team because of their jersey colors. I doubt same author would be up in arms had he come across a puff piece with the tables turned.
