Never said this was 100% reason behind all troubles. But looks like a big one

Also, this could cause a Cascade effect. Shipments get diverted to other ports to avoid this and thus cause backups there.

that's silly though......it has no relation to other ports

which are experiencing the same phenomena.

The JIT system, the surge in demand for consumer goods and the shortage of drivers to get them through the supply chain are the primary causes. Especially long-haul drivers.

If you don't believe me, just take a look at the maritime traffic for yourself. It's crazy busy everywhere. There is so much demand for shipping vessels that they are repurposing ships that don't typically carry cargo.

It is mostly pandemic related.

how could, diverting shipments to other ports, not affect those ports as well?

I don't care enough to argue about this, but its just another theory on the issue.

Obviously there something f'in wrong and it aint just one thing. To try to lump it as one issue would be idiotic and small minded.

I have an excellent source in the transportation sector.

Will ask if…
A) Mostly true and significant contributing factor
B) Somewhat true but only one of many contributing factors
C) Mostly BS _ just scoring political points by suggesting strong correlation.

IDK yet _ but editorial content mixed with alleged sources is a good recipe to influence some who don’t take the time or don’t care to research.
