and they were saying that they thought everyone was making too much of the Clemson game. It was one game. Clemson had been playing really well lately. We had lost to a pretty good GT team, but were playing better than our February record indicates.
Plus, it was a weird game for them. Slipping on a wet spot for Flagg, and they had a bad rebounding and shooting night.
Honestly, they felt Duke was due a bad game after being very consistent overall for 20+ games this year. They felt it’s college basketball, those games are going to happen.
Let’s go out and beat the Tar Holes tonight, avoid falling to .500 for February, and shut those Dukies up.

That's the condescending garbage I hate living here in NC. Whenever a CU team wins it's not a big deal, we had a bad night/day whatever.
Had a UNC fan say yesterday, "I'm glad y'all won. That'll get us back in it after we win tomorrow night". He said it in jest, but I know there was some real smugness behind it as well.

Oh the irony. Great find. Not sure how y'all keep up, but that's golden, and spot on.
Now, in all earnest, I did read the dook press conference. But mostly the coach and players felt it was going to be a one possession game, a la Dabo when talking about big games and a few plays. Although I knew Gillis was out, I didn't know Flagg was sick.

The stats do not say Duke had a bad shooting night. They were 12 for 24 from 3's, shot about 44% overall, 11 of 14 from the free throw line compared to Clemson shooting 4 of 10 from 3's, 58% shooting overall, and a dismal 59% from the FT line. Clemson dominated Duke in the paint and on the boards. All the Dukies I have seen are complaining about the wet floor and the way the officials called the game. Imagine that...

Funny how they had a “bad night” we had 10 first half turnovers and shot 50 percent fts we did too based on those stats we just picked it up in every other aspect like defensive intensity and shot making good not great not imo we have yet to reach our potential

Did they have their pinkies up while brushing it off? I think the best thing to do in those situations at brunch is to eat a huge pile of eggs and then a steak and cheddar omelette while telling them Duke sucks and so does that Colonel Flagg guy.

To me Cooper Flagg plays hard, is super talented, and so glad they lost. He just not seem on the court to be an arrogant whiney butt like his coach was as a player and still is as a coach.
