I just don't think that the man is that bad of a coach. Having said all that, it's alarming reading a recruit's father say that he doesn't see Clemson at any high school baseball showcases in FLA.
Is it a case where Jack has just gotten lazy recruiting-wise? Where does our talent stack up with other ranked college baseball teams? Can anyone who's really a baseball aficionado explain this? Is it Jack's fault that these players can't hit or is it just a bad series? We are only 3 games in so I would hate to panic so soon.

Doubt there's any truth to it. Clemson has recruited pretty well over the last few seasons. Clemson and South Carolina still get the pick of the litter from in-state players, and Clemson pulls some impressive out-of-state talent as well. The problem with the team lately has been execution (poor fielding, batting, mental errors).
I.e. kids that were executing at a high level in High School aren't executing at a high level at Clemson. They play "tight", etc...whatever the excuse is they simply aren't executing.

I think the highest ranking we've had was in the mid-20s. Don't recall if that was pre or post-MLB draft rankings though.

You are right he is not a bad coach.
A bad coach doesnt win as many games as he has. He however is not a great/elite coach.

lmfao. bradley lecroy spent 175 days on the road recruiting just last year. some of the bs you read on this site are pure lunacy. lets see, we recruit to many yankees. we have 5 players on our roster from north of north carolina. the coots have 10. lets see, another pure bit of idiocy is we are just to small. please just look at our roster before saying that. former players hate jack. yep, that is why taylor harbin, steven faris and bradley lecroy are coaching here, they hate jack. jack has them playing to tight. that is just to stupid to even argue about.the team may have issues. we need to hit better than we did over the weekend for sure. need to get a few guys that are hurt back. may be lots of warts on this team and the past couple of years but at least try and have a clue what you are complaining about. google is a great thing.

You the past 5 years the program has gotten worse, and I expect that trend to continue. The last great player to come through Clemson was kyle paper and Jack had nothing to do with that.

baseball team. Besides Clemson, he was recruited by half a dozen other ACC and SEC schools. Most of the guys on the team had opportunities to go play at other ACC and SEC schools. If the talent is being mis-identified, then South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Georgia Tech, etc. are mis-identifying the same kids. I realize that some things were not done well this weekend, but most of the guys on our roster were desired by other high level programs before they chose to come to Clemson.
