I gotta give props to Boyd

you can tell he's put in the work to become more of a running threat, and while he's not running 20 yards downfield, he's turning 5-10 yard losses into positive yards, and that can change an entire drive.
Time and time again I've seen him get swarmed and think "oh great there that goes" and then he stuns me by juking defensive linemen and LB's right out of their shoes

He was also a class act after the game. He sought out Jimbo and EJ to congratulate them. That is tough to do after a loss like that.

speak positively about this football team after they just lost to the #4 team in the nation in their back yard. What's wrong with you? Don't you understand you should be bashing this team and predicting blowout losses to GT and SC? Don't you know Dabo is over his head and Venables has no idea what he's doing after all these years? Some fan you are.

But heres some more positivity for you, I think we could win every game on our schedule from here on out. SC has been winning because the teams they play have beaten themselves (atleast from what I've seen) Plus its at home, Along with GT and VT.
That being said the defense has a long way to go

He is even turning those huge losses into minor ones. I saw at least like 2 or 3 times last night where the defender got a hand on him 10-12 yards behind the line of scrimmage and he would have been sacked last year but he would step up in the pocket and make something happen. If he gets sacked it seems like it always like 2 or 3 yards, he isn't getting dropped for huge gains anymore.

He did well except the time he threw the interception. We were still in the ball game and he got flushed from the pocket and he was rolling left and tried to throw across his body without being set. I think there were yards there he could have picked up if he would have ran it. I know he felt had to make a big play since the defense wasn't doing anything but you still have to be smart and take what is there.

Boyd is a good QB. It's funny to think back to the people that were ready to declare him a "bust" after his redshirt freshman year.
Dude can flat out play ball.

He is performing better with his feet, but she will he respond to adversity in a big game and put the team on his shoulders the way an experienced QB should. EJ played his best last night when FSU was down two scores. All we see is poor QB play when adversity strikes...

I dont know if I'd really say us losing was based on QB play. If our defense could stop a peewee team, we'd probably have won that game

Actually I see a OL get tired and not being able to hold the pocket for Boyd. Look at the beginning of the game and Boyd was comfortable and killing FSU's secondary, then second half he is running out of the pocket a lot more throwing the ball away. I am very proud as well at the yards after contact or breakdowns in OL. That's how you win games by almost getting sacked then making positive gains as well as RBs and WR getting hit and getting those extra yards.
