When did the rivalry become a contest of who "cares less"?

As Clemson people poked fun at the 6-7 celebration concert last night, I saw several Gamecock fans jump all over clemson fans for mentioning it. They basically were trying to say they win the rivalry because they care less. As if they never talk about Clemson over at FGF. What's the point of a rivalry? I guess they are saying both sides should treat it like the other doesnt exist

When I look at the over all record, I wonder why it's called a rivalry. It's really just a fill in game at the end of the regular season that helps them out financially and hurt us. That game really shouldn't exist bc, by us playing them, it hurts our season Strength Of Schedule!!!
