I got accepted into Clemson Engineering today

Jan 15, 2015, 8:19 PM

And I am pleased to announce that I am tigertown bound! While it was a difficult decision (I only applied to Clemson) the latest renderings of the new oculus caught my attention, along with the news that there is indeed a chick fil a on campus. Although I may not be able to celebrate the religious holiday of Cripmas, I'll at least be able to watch the greatest era of Clemson football unfold led by future heisman trophy winner Deshaun Watson who will have a nasty offensive line and a lethal arsenal of skill players (Tavien Feaster if you read this please commit to Clemson) and on the other side of the ball a physical and violent defense.
Go Tigers!
We are 2016 Arizona bound and 2017 Tampa bound so let's bring a NC back to God's Country!

To such a racist university?

(Just joking, but there are a lot of agitators trying to make it appear this way). ??

Congrats, enjoy and treasure your time in Clemson! Believe me, even my 5 1/2 years went by in the blink of an eye??

As a CE grad I'll say

Jan 15, 2015, 8:39 PM

study hard. Intro to engineering was cake for me but I still had issues with other classes due to time management. If you're used to blowing through your HS classes and expect the same at Clemson. But if you study hard it's not too tough.

The only "easy" engineering is Industrial Engineering imo. The others all have their pros and cons. It still has good job opportunities. If you're a problem solver then it's for you.

It worked for me but if you like computers then I would recommend looking at computer science. Big time money and similar skill set.

Good luck and congrats!

Our modest, but beloved, time at Clemson from '72 to '76 did not even have the Upper Decks, and we loved every minute of it. You will have the time of your life. Savor every moment. Go Tigers!

Coffee, lots and lots of coffee. And, hang in there when

Jan 20, 2015, 7:25 AM

the going gets tough. I still remember a speech my freshman Chemistry Prof gave the first day of Chem E Chemistry 111. "Look left, right, front, and behind, because at the end of 4 years, you will be the only one left." 120 started out, 26 graduated. Stick with it, and your chances of ever having to say "Do you want fries with that?" are greatly reduced. Just having a college degree these days isn't enough, has to be a degree in a good major. Any Clemson Engineering major qualifies easily.
Good Luck!
