Losing Brent Venables reminds of when my cousin got engaged.

She met a really nice guy, smart, good looking, tall and had plenty of money.
At first, I was really happy for her because she is a wonderful, beautiful girl who deserved nothing but the best in life. But then, it hit me, and I started to get angry and jealous because I would no longer have my favorite spooning partner at the annual family reunion.
Since then, I have learned to withhold judgment and personal feelings about a situation until all the dust has settled. It was a hard lesson to learn, but I grew from it. Hopefully my story can help others out there struggling with similar issues.
