I finally figured out where my major frustration is coming

from with current Clemson football. It is mostly fatigue at the bad QB play, as far as the passing game goes. But, the key element, that I just realized, is, if the coaches are putting THAT on the field, how terrible must they consider Cade Klubnick to be? How in the world can he not even be given a shot?
I have never seen such blind devotion to a single player as Dabo and Streeter obviously have to DJ. Has Big Dave put some kind of Hawaiian Voodoo on them, such that they are just flat out AFRAID to make a change? Blackmail? What?
Unlike many on here, I do not detest DJ. I find it admirable, and even somewhat incredible, that he still professes to love Clemson after all the vitriol that has been thrown his way. But, I can detest poor football play on the field without detesting the man himself.
And, it ISN'T all his fault. But, he does not have the physical or mental tools to make those around him better, which is what the great ones do. We saw Deshaun Watson throw receivers open over and over again. There were SEVERAL times in the game yesterday, most notably on the last interception, where a well placed pass would have resulted in a big play for us. But, this QB doesn't have that decision making ability, or if he does, he doesn't have the physical aim to pull it off.
If we are going down, it needs to at least be with an eye on the future. That future does not include DJ at QB, because if it does, it isn't going to get any better than what we saw yesterday, or against Notre Dame, whenever we face good teams. That makes me sad for the real ballers on this team, like Shipley, or Antonio Williams. Yes, Williams made a key error yesterday, but it was only key because we didn't put the Coots away early, when we had all the momentum in the world. And, that is on us.

This might sound crazy but I don’t think the blackmail thing is that far off. If you notice Dave isn’t around the program anymore and their might have been some shady recruiting… it’s def a conspiracy theory but it’s all I can come up with that explains how they leave DJ in and defend him.
Also Klubnik is really good. He was the 6A player of the year in Texas and number 1 Qb in the country. You don’t become those accolades especially in Texas and suck

The coaches don't think Cade is terrible. Dabo hasn't forced Cade in because he's not ready, and throwing him in a fire he's not ready for could destroy his confidence and hurt his development. It's pretty standard coaching actually.
I haven't seen folks who detecting DJ. Haven't seen that at all really.

I love Dabo,but I just don't understand the DJ thing. After last year's problems and the Spring game, I really thought we would see a repeat of the Kelly/Trevor scenario play out. Cade can't be worse than DJ. 28%? I Just don't get it.
