I know depth there has been an issue.

Do portal offers/signings have to coincide with signing day?

Got that corner from Oklahoma we need to try and get too. Looks like we're high on the fella from tcu. Wish we would go after the Bama guy. Maybe we think the OT from tcu can go inside.

Try to convert tackles to guards and cross train too many guys. I wish we would just go out and get big, physical, short armed IOL who can really maul people, and keep doing what we are doing at tackle.

you nailed it. playing OT vs interior line are two different animals. Tackles are more athletic and interior lineman not as much wing span and should be angry road grinders

While O-Tackles for sure must be very athletic, so do inside O-Linemen. We need OGs and Centers who can pass block as primary skills. We already have a super-athletic guard in Marcus Tate; in the ideal world we'll get other athletic play Guards ... hopefully D.Pennington is one of them, and hopefully we'll get Markee Anderson (HS prospect O-Guard out of Dorman HS).

Too much pass blocking in today's football for a Stacy Seegars (i.e., All American OG in 1993, but not athletic enough to pass block in the NFL) type to be truly successful against the good defenses.

Run game dominated football was still very common for good teams in the early 1990's, but not so much in today's game.

(Not too long ago, Saban's Bama teams were dominated by power blocking run game. Saban's teams started falling behind, and since Tua Tagialoa [or however his name is spelled] took over for Jalen Hurts, Bama was among the last power-house programs to become pass-oriented.)
