There may be something broken in my brain.

Apr 14, 2022, 8:53 AM

The below makes me want to make some friends over there and burn all kinds of stuff. Maybe it is they carrying on about calling the law that pisses me off. Also, the bit at the end asking for translation. The internet which they used to ##### can also do the translation.

TOXIC FUMES!!!
PSA: Backyard burning of wood and yard waste is a privilege, not an entitlement. Educate yourself and behave with consideration towards others PLEASE.

If it can't be done safely, responsible citizens such as myself will petition to have it banned.

Burning plastic, Styrofoam, takeout containers, batteries, old cell phones/tablets/laptops, used disposable diapers/feminine products, etc. is a public health hazard and NOT WELCOMED ACTIVITY in this neighborhood!!
My husband and I have been homeowners here for over 6 years and we were made sick since Monday 11th of April 2022 due to an irresponsible neighbor on the block behind our house burning waste that created toxic gases that have lingered in the air until today. The offending party's fire pit pictured was at a property near the corner of W. Morgan and McDade Ave. in the City View subdivision off of W. Bramblett Rd. not far from the section that runs in front of Legacy Early Learning College and the Home of Greenville Triumph Soccer Team. Due to another innocent neighbor next door to us [not pictured] burning a harmless pile on the same day, we did not alert the authorities this time. However, that is a one-time only grace and we would have involved the police if we knew the air would be polluted for THREE FULL DAYS. If there were a better rapport with these neighbors, I might consider offering to haul their trash away for them if that would help, but we've had no chance to get to know them and it seems intentional on their part.

Next time, we are calling the police, code enforcement, county council, the local news, and anyone else we can think of. If you live near our home, you know who you are, you have been warned.

[If a kind reader would like to translate this message into Spanish for our bi-cultural/bilingual neighbors, I would be much obliged.

I don't know how much you may know about that, but it likely isn't a recent trash fire that caused those folks to be sick.

Oh I'd be burning stuff 24/7

Let me guess they've lived there for 6 years, but previous to that they're from a few hundred/thousand miles away? I wonder if actually going to talk to that neighbor about it face to face every crossed their mind? Probably not, let's just call the cops! "This is a one time grace", lol GFY stupid bisch.
