Remember, Nick rarely keeps a coordinator

more than two years. The "system" is what is important when it comes to CFB success. Kirby also cycles coordinators frequently.

If taken to the extreme (and we're close to that), Dabo's loyalty becomes a liability when it comes to innovation and motivation.

Gonna be an interesting off season in Pickens County.

I think longevity on our coaching staff has been a real asset.

Nov 29, 2021, 8:42 PM

The problem with that is that some of the people he’s kept aren’t elite coaches.

If he had a Venables equivalent on offense, that longevity would’ve been huge in preventing a year like this one.

I’m glad you mentioned that because it reminds me exactly of our woes in basketball surrounding Brad Brownell and some dude named #### Bender. ?? I mean we lost to some team named St Bonaventure….Longevity of mediocre coaches has weighed heavily on our basketball program and fandom.

How did the rotating door of coordinators work out for Saban this year? Eventually it catches up and a bad hire is made. Talent made up for the short comings of a terrible OC.

Saban and Dabo share the same trait in that they are experts in finding the best assistants. Sucks that BV is most likely gone but you have to trust he will find the next big thing.

Napier, Morris, BV. We will find another one.
