Meaningless Now, but if we hadn't fumbled with 2 minutes to go

would we have been able to move ball up field..say from our 25 to their 35 for potential winning FG..since our O wasn't clicking on 4-cylinders in 4th.
Bet Vegas would have had a line on it happening.

I am skeptical that we would have. We couldn't complete

a forward pass. They may have put 9 or 10 men on the line of scrimmage on defense because they had zero fear of our passing game, and rightly so I might add.

We would have run for 5-7 yds on 1st down, then 3 incomplete passes. So no,

we only needed 20 yards from where Williams fumbled

---still would have had to get it but I like our chances with 4 down(not 3) situation at that point.

But that would mean DJ was not 100% responsible for the loss

and thst doesn't fit the narrative. DJ was part of the problem, he certainly wasn't all of it. But some here just want Dabo to bury the kid

I don't want him buried...I just want an acknowledgement

that at least part of our problem was a QB who wouldn't have gotten 125 yards passing even without a dropped pass and some sort of ownership on the sh1tty playcalls on offense and that stupid ####### kick return...I want him to explain how we got away from a guy who was averaging almost 9 yards a carry...I'm not talking about excuse either, I would like an actual explanation why Ship had 2 carries in the 4th when he was averaging 8.8 a carry

Carolina was stopping the run better in the second half.

The last Shipley carry that I remember

was 7 yards from the 3 yard line that got the face mask. We ended up on the 24 only to line Davis Allen up wide with a #### corner and throw a bomb to him. It was intercepted by the way.......

on first down. When Dabo has said throughout the year; we missed some passes, DJ had some passes he needs to make, he held onto the ball to long, missed open receivers, misread something, how is that not including him?
Look, in your memory is their any player in memory who has been under the microscope and experienced more criticism from fans than DJ? Anyone remotely close. We should be thankful we have a coach that's not going to pile onto thar in public. That when his player(s) are under heavy fire, he's going to stand up for them. That's who Dabo is

I'd say the chances of us getting into FG range with the remaining time on the clock would've been slim to none. DJ just wasn't gonna get it done for us passing because he was having the worst game of his career and I'm not sure we had enough time to run the ball every down with no timeouts. Was it possible to get 20+ yards? Yeah. Would it have happened? More than likely not.

I thought we burned up that last TO before A.Williams fumbled? Idk, I mentally clocked out in the 4th qtr after DJ's final hoorah INT.
