basketball until he starts getting more heat from boosters. Boosters forced his hand in baseball last yr and he made what I think will turn out to be a great hire in Monte Lee. Ultimately he wants to give Brownell at least 1 yr in the new facility. We have seen a steady decline in our win/loss record and overall basketball program since Brownell took over. I'm not going to bash him but the product speaks for itself. If you want to express your thoughts to the ad, here is his email address. If you are in IPTAY, then I would include your IPTAY number. I do think that the Clemson family deserves better.

If it was going to help his recruiting it would have helped this year, because his 2016 class would play in the new Little John. Brownell batted a big fat zero on his top targets this year. DRAD can see just as well as the rest of us that the program has gotten worse every year since he got here. No need to put off today what will have to be done later.

My thing is that bb is suppose to be a guy who can coach guys up. Get them better from year to year. But noko hasn't got any bettee the last two seasons. J blos is about the same way he has got a little better but not much Grantham was suppose to be a really good recruit for bb but hasn't showed me a whole lot he has some highs but a lot more lows. It's just frustrating to watch this team and the past couple

Good point, can we just give that $ to football. I mean the Bball players could hang out and train there too.

this team has no answers for anything. At least Rod Hall would raise some hell.
We have nothing but skirts on this team at this point. These boys look like bichiz tonight.
Embarrassing.

Hate to say it but people need to stop showing up for games. Empty seats and a lazy team will get the ball rolling. I can't watch, when people start talking crap about Clemson Bball I just try to change the subject.

People forget that you don't payoff one large buyout in one lump sum. It's over installments over two or three years. Easy for Clemson.

I think he will the change if we play like this all year. BB's overall recruiting has been lousy. Generally, we only win on the guys that have no better options than Clemson. I kept waiting to see us sign a big man this last recruiting period. We will be hurting there next year. I have been a supporter but BB has lost my confidence now and unless we get to break even, he needs to go. A new gym isn't going to help much. It hasn't done anything for GT and Duke seems to do fine in their little gym. That being said, anyone thinking Clemson will ever consistently be in the upper echelon of ACC basketball is delusional. I would like to go deep into the tournament from time to time. And shut up about OP! Purnell didn't have Syracuse, Louisville, ND and Pittsburgh on his schedule. And he did a great job at DePaul didn't he!

Saying we will never consistently be in the upper echelon of the ACC is a wimpy attitude to have. I hope your heels match your dress!
The reason we haven't been consistently good in basketball is because we haven't consistently supported it. Our administration and our fans will occasionally care about basketball, but can't seem to sustain the enthusiasm. We MUST pony up the money for a good coach. No more cheap hires, no more young up-and-comers. Pay well, and we will accomplish three things:
-attract a proven coach who is a winner at the high major level -keep said coach when he succeeds, because we support basketball as we should -show recruits and the rest of the world that we are not just a "football school"
We can't expect to get chicken salad out of chicken crap when it comes to basketball. My hope and my dream is that this next hire will be a change from the statue quo at Clemson regarding basketball.

This is going to sound like an excuse, but here goes. Football rules at Clemson. We are in the throws of challenging for the National Championship, HUGE game coming up. Basketball at Clemson hasnt really been good since the days of Larry Nance, Horace Grant, and even Skip Wise. For whatever reason, we simply can NOT recruit to Clemson the way Duke and UNCheat is able to. Its going to take a special coach to come in and energize the fanbase enough to start going to games. We inevitably go into droughts EVERY game, and our shooting has been attrocious. We recruit big men that have to take 3-4 years to even develop an average inside game. Our games are hard to watch. Our team can only get better from here on out.
