I've got no issue with her being back on American soil. It's mostly the hypocrisy of the whole situation. If you take a flight to Russia with weed, get caught and imprisoned, do you think the administration is going to trade an international arms dealer in exchange for you?

I'm with you.
It is certainly possible an American might go abroad and do something boneheaded, get locked up and made an example of. But in this instance we have someone transporting across national boundaries an illegal substance .... an gets caught. It's illegal here and there which sees me thinking it takes a special kind of stupid to do it. Someone demonstrating a special kind of stupid deserves to serve out their sentence.
We should save our exercise of influence for those who run afoul of religious or cultural offenses, not for the arrogantly stupid who violate laws that are universal or nearly so.

Man, if you really believe this, please get some help. All human life is valuable, you don’t get to choose which lives are valuable based on wether you agree with their opinions or not. No body should be rotting in a Russian prison for a plant that grows out of the ground. That’s inhumane. Also, who cares what she’s said about the National Anthem. That doesn’t make her any less of an American than you. We should be proud that we live in a country where people can say whatever they want. That is what Americas about.
