I don’t think I’ve ever pulled for a Clemson player as much as…

I’d give anything to see DJU go off and put up TB10, DW4, TL16 type of season.

Can you imagine Coach Swinney holding up the trophy with one hand and DJ with the other? Would be sports justice on 2 accounts

Hey, that would be just awesome, and it would give Klubnik, and Vizzina a good chance to battle and push each other to the point that they both become amazing non starters that would have to battle for the starting job when DJ leaves as another successful Clemson QB!!! If DJ fails, the starting job would be handed to Klubnik even if he was just a little better than DJ....

I have been saying for months that I truly believe DJU is busting his butt this off season & is going to show the country why he was the #1 pro style QB recruit in the country a few years ago.

Me too. Seems like a really good kid. He handled a very poor situation very graciously last season. He took complete ownership of his abysmal performance.
For me, I just don't see it. Hope I'm wrong.

I think he's gonna shock the world

I think DJU was not just banged up but injured the whole season. They kept it under wraps (no pun) the whole season because we had no viable backup and if teams knew they would try and take him out. TP posed no threat whatsoever in the passing game and would have been an INT machine. At least with DJ back there there was a threat at least in people's minds that we could throw at all.
Watch the games from last season then watch ND and BC from 2020. He could not get any drive on the ball because of that back leg. Later in the season the throwing hand injury made it even worse. The kid has a monster arm, stronger than TL but he's getting no zip on the ball, stuff is sailing on him like crazy. I'm telling you, we did not see DJ last year we saw a beat and battered, heavy shell of what he is. I'm also tired of hearing that he can't run and is not mobile. BS,the kid can motor when he's not playing on one leg.
We're going to see what he truly is this season. I'm calling it now 62% completion, 3500ish passing yards 30ish td 10 or less int. Overall positive rushing yards and 7-10 rushing TD

I agree with you that some of that is true but his mechanics were the same in 2020 as they were in 2021 but we had more talent in 20 and DJ wasn't asked to do much (i.e. think). His mental side was mush last year. He was much bigger and more sluggish last year.
Injuries don't account for him starring down receivers and telegraphing passes. Sadly that was the same in the spring. I do think he'll be better and much more mobile to give him time to maybe go through more progressions and run if need be. His talent around him will be much improved... I hope.

Couldn’t agree more! From everything I hear, DJ is a great young man. I would nothing more than for him to have a great bounce back season.
