Great post. He did seem to see something lying on the field that he didn't want to touch. It looked like he considered his career more important than a Superbowl win that was pretty much already over. Whatever his reasoning, his reaction was embarrassing and the announcers were not about ready to let him get away with it.

This is the 6'5" 245 QB that is able to run over LBs. It seemed to me that he was flustered and was starting to show some signs of "the quit."

No player who loves the game and competition lets the ball lay at his feet and not dive in and fight for it. I don't care that Ware was going for it they are the same size basically, but size of the dog doesn't matter, it's is the size of the heart. Cam showed he lacked heart there. Where is Shane Falco when you need heart to win a game?

He made a bad football play. That's it. Don't question that guy's heart. He played last year after injuries from a car wreck on a bad football team.

It look like he was anticipating the ball squirting out in another direction. . Then he saw it didn't and reached for it.

goes like this:
The Cumberland HB fumbled and the ball rolled to the QBs feet and he didn't try to recover it. When the coach asked him "Why didn't you try to recover it?" The QB replied, "I didn't drop it."
Cam doesn't even have that excuse!
