So a win over us takes a team from 12 to 6, but we drop 8?

That's after we would have beaten FSU, UNC, and UL, so we'll be fine.
am I allowed to say that?

Imagine if Clemson was 1-0

But a team who lost by 24 points only fell a few spots and was still ahead of you.
You would be outraged. Both Carolina and Clemson are fortunate to be ranked right now. Sadly we both probably won't be after FSU and UGA.

We lost to a good team. You got your #### kicked by a team

that isn't very good not matter how much you tell yourself they were just that good. Your defense was god awful and to score all you did was throw the ball up and hope for a prayer against their defense that's been proven to be less than mediocre. Keep telling yourself they're good, I'm sure ECU will be a championship contender too

I don't know if you keep up with A&M at all, but it would

seem you don't. They have recruited extremely well for the past 3-4 years. A&M will win 9-10 games this year. If that's your definition of "not very good" then so be it.

A lot of people who keep up with them weren't expecting much

To say it was shocking to see their defense doing anything to stop South Carolina on the road after being torched by Duke is an understatement. South Carolina's vaunted OL and rushing attack put up less than 100 yards. This is why people think South Carolina may be in for a pretty rough year.
I think most were expecting A&M's offense to be pretty good, but I don't think anybody was expecting over 500 yards passing on the road for a guy who was starting his first game. Again, that tells you a lot about what South Carolina's got.
Finally, South Carolina was blown out of the water by a team that a lot of people thought was overrated even at #24 or whatever A&M was. I don't agree with the people saying that Clemson shouldn't drop because of losing to a top ten team, but it's hard to justify South Carolina being ahead of some of the teams they're ahead of when they were never really in a game they were favored to win at home. Here's hoping ECU's passing attack wipes the floor with their secondary again.

Have you watched their defense at all? It's still a dumpster

fire when it comes through the air. Idk if you're just going based off stats or what but all USuCk did was throw up prayers and the a&m corners handed them 28 points. A&m will be about like the past few years but will be a little more balanced offensively but not as explosive as with johnny Manziel. Just because you have a few good years of recruiting doesn't mean it's going to all come together at once and you can recruit all the weapons you want, if you don't have a defense you're going to lose some games and lose bad in some, any clemson fan should know that.

they only drop 5. We lose on the road in a hostile environment, tied at halftime, down by three in the fourth and we drop 8 places...
Got keep that $EC in there...they are #### bent on getting two $EC teams in the playoff...

They dropped to 21 in both polls

Still, I think the case can be made that they should've dropped further because their preseason ranking has more to do with last season than this season.
Once again, though, you have the problem of teams from one conference being overrated in the preseason so that when they beat each other the losing team doesn't fall out of the polls while the winning team just takes their place in the top 10. It was clear after watching that game that South Carolina wasn't anything like a top 10 team, but it wasn't so clear that A&M was a certified top 10 team either.

Do they say FSU is overrated? They can't if they're getting 40+ 1st place votes.
