SEC school $ have been enormous but hasn't helped usCjr win

hardly a single game that they wouldn't have if still in ACC (football wise), imho.

But, in that it's given them probably $10,000,000 more per year than Tigers I'd say they should be ashamed what they've gotten win-loss from it.

Yes, they have done very well in other sports with that money with ladies BB being pre-imminent.

Yes but that entire program is surrounded by incompetence

Not to mention its a dump with no history or tradition. Kind of hard to change the course of things in that environment.

Exactly!

I also think some people only think "pretty-small-picture"!

It hasn't helped small-school Vanderbilt(Yes, Clemson is much more prominent just saying size-wise). If Clemson moved to the SEC am I right in saying; "CU would be the 2nd smallest school"?

Not that that has saved some of the biggest schools in the land from feeling the Tigers rath on the football field. But, it's something that could one-day matter more.

Of course it matters, which is why NIL sucks

Clemson is a small market school with a tiny (comparatively) alumni base.

Clemson is about the same size as Ole Miss and Miss State, but you are right Clemson would be near the bottom in terms of student population.

I don't know how, but somehow, they must have spent it all

on Wimmins basketball. Dawn Staley must make $20,000,000 a year.

True, but the money difference adds up over time...more NIL money,

bigger contracts for coaches, more impressive facilities, etc. Fortunately for us, their leadership has been tonally inept... but we can't count on that lasting forever, can we?

Don’t tell Judge K that. Doesn’t support his, “if you give me more, we will win more narrative.”

I’ve said it before and I will say it again.

You will not see another school in the country fill their stadium with 80K plus fans for every home game and throw that kind of money into their football program only to get the kind of lousy returns that they get out of it. They control the media in our state. They are the bigger school. They’ve devoted so much time, effort and money to being better than us in football only to watch us dominate the state rivalry and win multiple conference and national championships. They are the most jealous and hateful fanbase in America and their biggest claim to fame in football is joining a conference three decades ago. These are the cold hard facts that represent the sad reality of gamecock football.

The game has changed. You now need $$$ to attract players. The numbers aren't going to be $10 Million in the future. Try $50 Million more, a number that will MORE THAN DOUBLE our take from the ACC.

Clemson is at a precipice. Don't fall asleep here, don't minimize the risk we face.

That's true Bill. But if we can't schedule Georgia,Oklahoma,

Jul 1, 2022, 7:48 AM

Notre Dame,Auburn, etc.,teams outside of the ACC, it will hurt us in the long run. And if the SEC and BIG get to 40 teams, they may decide to exclude the ACC and just have a championship between their own two conferences. They would have enough of the country covered to claim a National Championship. How long do you think Clemson can stay relevant if we NEVER get to play any of those teams? I think we have to move and we have to move fast. If we have to borrow the money to buy our way out of the ACC, then that is what we have to do. IMHO.
