Not that it’s the business of fans to know every private detail of a player’s life, either, but it would have perhaps cemented more fan support and understanding for DK’s troubles if this could have been elucidated at some point...

Certainly hate that for DK and his kids but.....I imagine that there is more to this story. If I recall he had been in trouble numerous times before and was arrested in Rock Hill right after his dismissal from the team. Getting arrested with a gun and weed in your car at 3am is not really setting the right example for his kids.

I do wish him and his family the best going forward.

Not that the two small kids may have been sick but the fact that Dabo Swinney would have no sympathy for the situation. MAYBE... it could have been your pattern of behavior over the last three years that coincided with children being sick. The gun charge after the dismissal sure says a lot about your priorities; football or children don't seem at the top of the pecking order.

He didn't imply that Dabo had no sympathy. Any statement otherwise would be spin. DK even said that he didnt communicate much during that time.

would you clue your employer in on what was going on and why you would need to miss work? What spin is there other than you rationalizing his behavior? DK will fit in nicely at UGA.

Not saying his child was not ill - I have no idea. But this sure sounds like a spin job from UGA to smooth over the continued facts of them bringing in players who have a troubled past, and dismissed from other schools.

If there is one thing I know about Dabo - he would never turn his back on a player who was simply taking care of his kid.
