a little ditty about Jameis Winston...

I was talking to a friend of mine last night (Jawja fan) about our game this weekend.
He is a high school baseball coach and he told me about the time his team played Hueytown (Jameis' junior and senior year).
The first year Jameis went off: 4-4 with 2 dingers.
His senior year, Jameis went off, but in a different way. He was shut down: 0-3, 3 Ks. On one of the strike outs, he was called out on the third strike and turned to the umpire and said/asked, "Do you know who I am?" He then went to the dugout shouting F bombs.
This gives me a little insight into the kid who thinks Death Valley noise will be no problem for him.

I watched the first half of the Maryland game.

The part before Maryland's QB was knocked out of the game and it was still close.
Winston really seemed to whine and complain after incompletions, he really appeared to let bad plays stick in his head. I think he can easily be rattled.
I'll admit to having not seen him play a lot, but from what I've seen he almost always throws to his first receiving option and rarely goes through progressions. Looks like so far this season he really hasn't had to though.
That said, Winston doesn't scare me but FSU's receivers do. They are very good. They'll find space and make catches if given the chance. If we don't get pressure on Winston and move them off their routes, they will eat our secondary alive.

Watch the Maryland/FSU game. There's a point during the game where things aren't going as smoothly for FSU. Their QB becomes visibly emotional and distraught, almost on the verge of tears. And this is while winning in lopsided fashion. I think we're dealing with a primadonna with thin skin.

however he dealt with stress worked out well in the end? Whatever the means, when you beat a team by more than 60 points, I feel like you should do something similar the next time out.

I saw it too. Seems to me the kid has an attitude based on everything I've heard and seen. No one has stated he's not a fabulous player. Just come across as a #######.
