recharging stations. I simply installed an alternator on mine and I never run out of juice. I’m surprised more people do not do this.

I hooked my alternator up in reverse, so my car goes forward. The ole for every reaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Only problem is I have to park on a hill to go in reverse.

Knowing you on here Francis Marion, I never know if you're being indifferent with your craziness or not, so I just take everything you say, as you being nonchalant but, like you I don't understand why charging stations would be necessary with electric vehicles. I mean most vehicle has 4 wheels, with electric motor powered vehicles, what stops them from engineering a charging system with one or both wheels that are free wheeling like how it's done with wind turbines, and the electric motor batteries could be replacing the current used back into multiple Capacitors, and when the vehicle has been turned off, the Capacitors could replace the charge used rather quickly, wouldn't you think.
Maybe there is a government stipulation, or rule that if we're going to electric vehicles, there must be charging stations so that the government can still collect a tax that they love saying is for road construction like with the very high gas taxes, but we are still beating our vehicle to pieces on that said road construction that our gas taxes are suppose to fix!!!

Saw a golf cart at the beach last fall that a fellow had attached a 5th wheel on the back to turn an alternator to charge his batteries while he was riding around. He told me that the device generated enough electric juice to keep the batteries charged. Stated he did not connect the golf cart to house power to recharge the batteries. One would think this would work on an auto.. But, who knows??? If it could be done one would think Telsa would have stuck a self generated charger on the autos they sell; for a very good price of course.

I had a generator on my 3 speed bike in the 60s, that ran my front and rear lights. They could put these on the tires of EV.

They could make them to charge themselves, but there would be no way federal and local government could make the money back they would lose on gas tax, and they know the electric vehicle wouldn't sell if they priced them to recover that loss in gas tax. They want to lower admission, and the polluting the atmosphere, but not as the cost losing the money that they are making on the gas tax, so they come up with making them to be dependent on a charging station that they can charge us to use them. They will put charging stations at every gas station, and probably in every interstate rest area. But the facts are, they could be made to work with it's own on board charging devices!!!! If you can use a paddle wheel to make electricity, you can do the same with the wheels on a vehicle!!!

I think those devices have been bought up by the battery companies and destroyed, just like the car/oil companies did with the carburetor that got 50 miles to the gallon back in the 50's and 60's.
